Building the Garage

I cut that wall open to fit a Grandt Line #3622 (Victorian Recessed Double Doorway). For the windows on either side of the door, I inserted a pair of Grandt #3714 (Engine House Windows) but cut the top sash into an awning-style window.</div> <div> "The roll-up door on the garage is scratch-built from cardstock and stripwood, and the pump island was cut from your Sidewalk castings (<A HREF="dd18.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="DD18"><U>DD18</U></A>) with a styrene canopy. Most of the other details (pumps, trashcans, lights, barrels) were from various suppliers. A lot of tires and junk were my own castings.</div> <div> "I used the cornice from both kits to cap the garage. The cornice brick over the office section was cast in a mold I made of the Revell Engine House wall.
