Dave Rowe
Dave's turned his attention to an urban HO diorama that's packed with character, and was the 3rd prize winner in our Kit-bashing Contest.
Dave writes, "This is a large HO scale diorama featuring five of your kits.... Rosa's Place, Addam's Ave. pts 1, 2, 3 and Blair Ave 1. All have received extensive modifications, and some have been cut up to produce new buildings. The diorama is about 18 inches by four feet long. The curbs and streets are all hand carved from plaster, and weathered with charcoal. All the sings are scratchbuilt, including the AMC Matador billboard, which came from the Internet. The setting is in the mid 1970's, in a seedy downtown are of an unnamed city. To add life to the diorama, numerous kitbashed vehicles and repainted figures (including hookers) inhabit the city."
